Aqui há Gente
In the old neighborhoods of OPorto, in the shadow of touristic icons of an old city, lives a group of people that made the city what it is today. People that, sometimes behind a shy smile, hide the bitterness of a hard life that their eyes cannot hide.
In Portugal nearly 400.000 seniors live alone and 800.000 live with someone with 65 years of age or older; 31% of them in the northern region.
With the increase of life expectancy, the change of the family role in modern society, and the growing investment in tourism, OPorto has began slowly to forget the people that helped build what it is today.
